     I placed the adoption post for Fiona and received several qualified replies within 12 hours. We had a couple who called and said they had an interest. They described their home environment with two dogs and two cats and they offered to take Fiona for a trial run overnight. They even brought their two dogs and one of the cats to meet Fiona when they came to pick her up. They took Fiona for the night and called and asked if they could adopt her. My wife and I said yes. They came again to pick up all of Fiona's permanent belongings, Watching them interact with Fiona really put us at ease.      I am incredibly grateful I discovered Rescue Me! My heart fills with such appreciation for connecting us with Long Island Bulldog Rescue ultimately find our bulldog a better home. Torre, our 12 year old Old English Bulldog, had been one of our original babies since before my husband and I married. She was even a bridesmaid in our wedding! One of the hardest parts about having animals is watching them age and not knowing what life changes are to come. We lost our original dog baby Buddy at the age of 13, almost two years ago to complications due to diabetes. He had a long battle and when he passed and Torre was never the same since she was always with him. Close to the time of his passing, I had my first child and things changed, not only due to having an actual baby but unusual symptoms of myself. It was discovered this past Summer that I have Multiple Sclerosis. 2016 was a tough year and we knew we could no longer provide Torre the care she needed, especially for an aging dog who needed extra love and care. I will be having my second child in April and we did now know what we were going to do since my husband and I work full-time and friends or family could help out. I consider Rescue Me and the people it brought to our lives a godsend that Torre can continue her life in a home that will love her like we did to the very end. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We will always be grateful and share our good experiences. God bless!

     I'm writing to thank you for making my adoption of Marvel possible. I recently lost my French Bulldog. I was devastated, I knew I wanted another Bulldog, and I wanted to be sure to adopt again. I came across Marvel on Rescue Me, and I instantly fell in love with him and immediately contacted Amber. She wrote me back right away and we set up a time to meet. I met with them on a Sunday, the best part was that I got to meet the entire family. It gave the kids a chance to see where Marvel would be going if they did in fact choose me. I instantly liked all of them, Marvel gave me about 100 kisses and I knew he was the one. Amber messaged me and let me know that they approved, and that he was mine! After lots of tears and hugs, Amber and her husband dropped Marvel off on a Friday evening. We hung out in the back yard most of the night just playing, he is such a happy guy. Later that night he found his way up onto my bed and has decided that's where he will be sleeping every night from now on (lucky me). He is such a good boy and such a lover. He is 100 pounds and has no idea he is not a lap dog. I know that Amber and family miss him, but I can't thank you and Amber enough for making it possible to make my heart happy again. Marvel and I are very happy together!

     Charlotte is my deaf rescue who has been with us since she was just a puppy. A family who found Charlotte on Rescue Me contacted me on Monday of last week wanting to know more information on her. You see, not only has Charlotte been with us since she was a puppy and is deaf, Charlotte had her chances of a home thrown up in her face many times and dreams of a home shattered time and time again by people interested and promising to come back for her. Never showing back up, Charlotte knew and began to get depressed from it. Her new family came for a meet and greet, went through the home check and came back on Friday evening for her. This sweet girl knew as she jumped in their vehicle ready to go home! Charlotte gave her final hug and one last kiss before leaving.

     We are very excited about adopting Reggie. We have wanted a dog like him for quite some time but knew how much time would be required for his care, so with both of us working it just wasn't possible. This is absolutely a match made in Heaven as Reggie needed a new home just when David needed a new companion to share his retirement.      I found Rescue Me! by chance when I did a search. I had a bulldog to find a home for, I brought her 700 miles rather than let her be taken to the SPCA. The morning after I posted her I received 4 responses, and Maggie was adopted to the very first person who replied. She is a lucky dog - she was adopted by a very nice family who had been looking for someone like Maggie for awhile. They got the pet they'd been hoping for and Maggie got the forever home she deserved. Happily ever after for everyone.

     Hi Jeff, My dog was adopted after 24 hours. I did the interviews just as you suggested. The next day there were more than a few inquiries. The one person who impressed me most was a woman who needed a friend. I knew my dog was a match. I could tell when she described the love she had for bulls. Although I was giving my pup away as a result of family emergency, it mattered more that he get equal or more love wherever he would move. I just wanted to make certain he would get a hug and an open heart. He did! The adoptive home was so welcoming and unconditionally loving. I will support your organization. You guys helped me free when I needed the connection to someone who was looking for the dog match they desired. I know the new family will be happy for years to come -- I saw that with the first hug he received. Thank you.

     I just want to thank you for providing a way for one to find a home for their loved pet. Unfortunately one's life priorities may change subjecting their pet to having to accept those changes. Rescue Me really helped me and my family feel better about being able to find our pet of over 6 yrs a suitable home. I posted Kosmo and it only took about 24 hours to be contacted by multiple people. I was able to ask questions and make a confident decision that I choose the best individual to receive and care for my dog. I did not have to subject him (Kosmo) to being put in some wire pen with the hopes of someone taking him home. What a joy it is to know he is still cared for. Again, thanks Rescue Me and we (my family) will miss you (Kosmo).

     I found that even though the bull dog puppy was micro-chipped at a puppy mill he had not been registered with any owner, so he is now registered with me!. His leg was in a cast for a little over a month, he had cherry eye surgery and has been neutered. He starts puppy school this coming Saturday. He is a gem, a sweetheart and a joy! He has stopped crouching in fear and wetting his pants, he is totally potty trained and goes on walks every night with the two older dogs. He lays on his back and growls at his chew toys. His name is Georgie. We are all in love.

     Riley was adopted last night by Beatrice & her family. Although I am so sad to see him go & my girls & I cried for a very long time, I know that Beatrice & her family will give Riley the love he deserves. If I didn't have to move somewhere that didn't accept animals, I would have never put him up for adoption. Riley is an amazing dog & as a member of our family, he will be missed greatly!      Was contacted from the site from a lady interested in Sarge. I sent more pics and we talked on the phone before meeting. We both agreed Sarge had found his new home! We met this morning and Sarge took up with them immediately. Her daughter had already fallen in love with him! We will stay in touch.      I would like to thank Rescue Me for their generous services. Bella has found a wonderful new home. Her new parents drove over 5 hours to meet her and it seemed to be love at first site. I am thankful that she has found a loving home. Jason and Alicia are able to offer Bella things that I couldn't, other than love, food, and a warm bed (a work from home mom, fenced in yard, a charming 2 year old son, etc.) I am so terribly sad to see her gone (as I cried all last night and this morning) however this is what is best and I am thankful that she went to Jason and Alicia as they seem like wonderful people.

     Zeke has been rescued. Someone in the Omaha area that loves Bulldogs and has a soft heart knowing he was going to be put down quite quickly. He has been with his new family for about 5 days and things are going well. Since Zeke is a 'senior' they have to make some adjustments to his inability to do many stairs and jump into the cars for rides, etc. Sounds like the new family and Zeke are enjoying each other!
