Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Rebel was pulled from a high kill shelter only to be stuck in a barn stall for several months with little to no food and limited contact. Finally a foster came along who wanted to help him. Rebel is a high energy boy who wants to be the center of everyone's attention. He loves to run and jump an climb up in your lap. We do feel it would be best if Rebel was the only dog and not to be in a home with small children due to him not having good manners. This boy really needs a safe loving home as his fosters say it is past time for him to go. He has a very short coat with beautiful red markings.

American Bulldog Mix & English Bulldog ~ Senior ~ Female ~ Large~ located at the Carroll County Humane Society McKenzie, TN (West TN) Meet Olivia! Olivia is a 10 year old large 86 pound bulldog mix. This old lady dog came into rescue because of some tragic losses in her human family. One of her parents passed away leaving the other parent to care for Olivia's adult special needs human sibling and the suriving parent was overwhelmed with managing such a demanding task on his/her own. One of CCHS' foster parents took in Olivia to give her a chance to find a new home. Olivia techinically is a Dorset Old Tyme Bulldog which is a breed created ... (Read More)in the 1980s. But, she is certainly a bulldog and Rescue Me did not have the matching breed in their menu so we tried to match up bulldog fans with her profile. Even though she is 10 years old she has a few years left and is super, super sweet. Because she is an old lady, she does need some attention to the beginnings of arthritis which we all will get at some point as we grow older. Olivia is houseborken and is currently living with several large and small dogs and is OK with all of them except the one little dog who thinks he is the biggest dog in the world and he picks on Olivia constantly. She has a long fuse but has left the little guy know that she doesn't appreciate being jumped by a pipsqueak. Olivia is a dreamboat of a dog who deserves a house where she can live out her golden years. Olivia must be an inside dog because that is the way she has lived her whole life and she has earned the right to live out her live in warm comfort. Olivia is heartworm negative, current on vaccines, and has been spayed. She is in foster care with Patti. BECAUSE OF HER AGE- WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTIONS IN WEST TENNESSEE ONLY!!!! (Less)

Bulldogs can make good pets in Tennessee if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
