Animal ID: 2956Riley (female)

Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

Riley is an absolutely precious, English Bulldog/Boxer mix. Riley is 3 1/2 years old and weighs approximately 45 pounds. Have you checked out her under bite? She's a quirky girl who would love a forever home! Riley was found as a stray eating out of trash cans, but has transformed into a beautiful young canine. Riley is very playful toward other dogs and wouldn't mind a companion. However, Riley is not cat-friendly and we would not recommend her being adopted into a home with small children. Riley is protective of her food and she could benefit from behavior modification. Riley has been fully-vaccinated, spayed and is current on ... (Read More)heartworm preventative. Riley is heartworm positive and could begin treatment as soon as she's adopted. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-27-00018Bully (male)

Bulldog    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Cats, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament

He's a solid 90 lb, brindled purebred English bulldog. He housebroken but since he has gotten older has become slightly fussy. I think he has early signs of cataracts. Also he has a large egg size tumor on his side. This tumor doesn't bother him or hurt. This is not uncommon in this breed. Anyway, I would like for a responsible person to have him as long as he would be loved and taken care of and not mistreated. I really need to rehome Bc I'm currently homeless and have to many health issue. It saddens me to loose my best friend but I can't take care of myself presently. Thanks for reading my post and God Bless.

A Bulldog named Uga is the beloved mascot of the University of Georgia. The term Bulldog originated in medieval times and was applied to brave dogs that would attack bulls in arena combat. Bulldog puppies often have to be delivered by C-section due to the breadth of their heads. Bulldogs have such jowly facial folds that they need to have their teeth brushed and their facial folds cleaned out on a daily basis.
