Rescue Me ID: 14-07-22-00272Bandit (male)
Bandit is an Olde Boston Bulldogge (not to be confused with a Boston Terrier), Staffy almost three yr in age. He has his Canine Good Citizen Certification, is calm and very well mannered. He waits for food and to go out the door, is good on leash, of course vetted fully, house broken, crate trained, heart worm tested, micro chipped, up to date on heart worm and flea/tick preventative, very well taken care of, smaller-compact as his breed ...is known for. Bandit is a very affectionate young boy. He follows his person everywhere, likes to lay his beautiful head in your lap and snuggle under the covers. He is owner surrender by a lady who helps this rescue tremendously due to not getting along with her other male dogs. Though heartbreaking, she loves this guy dearly and wants him to be happy and thrive as any caring owner would. Email PitHappensRescue@gmail.com for adoption information. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-06-01-00254Adora (female)
Adora - we were lucky enough to be able to take this sweet girl in to our rescue. She was someone's pet in South Carolina, but they let her wander around and kept her as an outdoor dog. They finally relinquished her, but unfortunately the damage was already done. She was heart worm positive. We have put her through the heartworm treatment already and she should test heartworm negative in about 6 months. She is spayed and up to date on shots as well as microchipped. She gets along with other dogs and LOVES humans. She is a small girl - 35 LB and will not get any bigger. Estimated to be around 2 years old. Did I mention we LOVE her? We are still working on learning potty training. Being an outdoor dog previously put her at a disadvantage - but we are working on it. She is still having accidents so that is something we want everyone to understand up front. She is by far one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met and she is THE best cuddler ever. She prefers free roam of the house (She does not like to be behind a closed bedroom door or in a crate) and if left to roam, she has not been destructive in the house. She does not destroy her crate if crated, but she gets worked up and you will be cleaning up a mess and giving her a bath. She's had a very tough life and someone mistreated her along the way that is for sure. But with all the quirks she has - she is still simply amazing. If you are interested in meeting Adora, please email us for an application. firstname.lastname@example.org (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bulldog in Pennsylvania
Bulldogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
