Sunny is an amazingly calm, sweet female OLDE ENGLISH BULLDOGGE/BOXER who is currently in a foster home here in Oregon. She is VERY loving and sweet-tempered and gets along with adults and children above age 6-8! She has been through a lot in her life and we REALLY want to see this darling girl go a loving home where she will NEVER have to long again for her furever place to live. Please email us at email@example.com for an adoption application. You can also find Street Savvy Dog Rescue on FB! Hello! I wanted to reach out to your regarding an Olde English Bulldogge named Sunny. She is currently with a foster who unfortunately cannot keep her due to the fact that her ailing cat has gotten very sick due to the stress of adding another animal to the home environment (no fault of Sunny's)! Sunny should go to a no other pets home as she is bit dog reactive and exhibits resource guarding and wants to guard her human a bit. She has never bitten anyone but growls when other animals approach her bed when she is lying on it. Her demeanor in general is a happy, friendly girl and she loves everyone she meets! Sunny has been through quite an ordeal in her life. We really don't know her true age as she was most likely a puppy mill breeding mamma in Texas. She has been debarked as well (so sad). She's been in Oregon for a bit longer than 2 months and everyone LOVES her cheerfulness and sweet nature but I have had trouble placing her. She has a very specific core of adopters that I have been unable to reach. She also has an undocked tail which I am told makes her less desireable to bulldog people (how silly and ridiculous)! She is BEAUTIFUL with a brown tail and white coloration! Her medical needs include continued evaluation of her right front leg which has been x'rayed and clearly shows an old fracture causing her to limp. She has been introduced to a high quality diet including Taste of the Wild (salmon) with cottage cheese and she has been demonstrating greater vigor and clearly feels better physically! (Less)

Bulldogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
