|Rescue Me ID: 17-01-15-00315Arnold (male)|
Arnold was born 11/22/2010. He is in generally good health. He does have a prolapsed urethra which bleeds one or two times per year. It is best treated with ice or an ice pack. He also has some airborne allergies which are kept at bay with bee pollen. He is a fantastic dog! My wife and I are finding that with two sons in our lives since we got Arnold (as a puppy) we are ignoring him more than is fair. While we once spent time looking for ways to make him happy, now he has become an afterthought. He derseves better! Regular bulldog maintenance will be required: he needs his face and eyes wiped clean daily (he actually kind of enjoys this). His paws need to be cleaned about once per week. He is very fit and has plenty of energy. He is fantastic with children and loves being touched. Arnold fares better with big dogs than small. This isn't due to his behavior, but rather we find that small dogs don't like him. He's great! He is just not getting the attention and love he deserves. He is a purebred and has the paperwork that proves it. Our hope is that someone with time and love for a dog takes care of him for the rest of his life. (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-05-09-00518Spike (male)|
Spike is a great dog and it breaks my heart to even have to do this. Unfortunately due to life's circumstances, a recent divorce, now newly single mom working very long hours in 2 jobs, I have been unable to truly care for him like he should be. I am hoping to find him a home where he can be given more attention than he is now. Very smart & obedient, loves to play catch and low key. I am a nurse working 12-14 hrs 5 days a week just to make ends meet and as much as I love him, I want him to get better care for I have been able to give as of late. I have another dog, a female, that I am also trying to place, they are like a little couple but I realize that is hard and might be unlikely to have them go together. But at this point I just want what's best for them. I have also put my other dog's picture and information up on this site, her name is Nina. (Less)

Bulldogs can make good pets in Massachusetts if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
