Piggy is a Valley Bulldog (Boxer mixed w/ Bulldog). Piggy is crate trained and housebroken. He knows a few commands such as: sit, paw, no, come, and crate. Piggy is a fast learner and loves pleasing his human friend. He is a small/medium dog weighing around 40 pounds. Piggy bonds very quickly with one person and will follow them like a shadow. He prefers women vs. men and can be standoffish toward new men and strangers (has never bitten anyone just barks). It took Piggy about three days to come around to my husband but with patients, he does warm up. He is great with cats and most dogs. Piggy has never lived with children so a home with no or older children is best. Piggy's favorite past time is spending time with his human friend and he is happiest when he can have a lot of attention. Because of his strong bond with his human friend, Piggy is best crated when left alone because he does have separation anxiety. Piggy does great off leash and won't leave your sight so if you are active and enjoy hiking, Piggy is the dog for you! The reason I am re-homing Piggy is because my dad is sick and I have been spending a lot of time away from home helping my mom care for my dad. I feel it is best to re-home Piggy to a person that can give him the time and attention he needs. I will provide his crate, leash & harness, food/water bowls, food to get him started, vet records, and toys. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to meet Piggy. (Less)

Her father was a pitbull and her mother was an english bulldog. We had her fixed as a puppy and she is up to date with all shots and flea/tick treatment. No ongoing health problems. She does have a skin irritation on her neck, we are treating with steroids and antibiotics. We did have to take her to the pet ER on two occasions. Once for blood in her eye, easy treated and resolved. Once for dehydration , also easily treated and no ongoing issues from it. I have all her paperwork from vet and ER visits. She is seriously the sweetest dog. I 100% trust her around my babies and kids, she has a very sweet personality. The family we got her from as a puppy had babies and she has always been around small children. She is very gentle with kids, my son can take food out of her bowl while she is eating and she won't growl at him or anything. She listens pretty well, we did some work with a dog trainer. Really all of the issues we have are because I can't give her enough attention now with having little kids. Unfortunately with a baby and very needy toddler, I am unable to devote to her, the time she needs and deserves . We live on a busy road and my toddler has let her out of the fence on several occasions and I'm afraid one day she is going to get hit by a car. She is super friendly and loves everybody that comes in to our house . She doesn't bark a whole lot.She really needs a home where she can run or be walked regularly. She gets along with all other dogs she has met. The only time we have had an issue is when the other dog has repeatedly gotten aggressive with her. Even then she never attacked the other dog. We use to have cats and she loved them and tried to play with them. I really want to find her a nice, loving home where she will get the love and attention she needs. Anybody interested can set up a time to come and meet her, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. (Less)

Bulldogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
