Bulldog    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Rosie is a young female adult English Bulldog that was taken from a breeding mill/house situation. In the first years of her life she has had very little positive human contact and zero time in a home. She and several other English Bulldogs were kept in crates outside in all types of weather and if it got really bad they were crated in a garage. This has left her and the others emotionally stunted. Being in the foster homes everything is new to them like there were tiny puppies seeing a kind world for the first time. Tables, chairs, tv's, hair dryers, microwaves, this is all new to them. Rosie has been one of our ATTR fosters for just over ... (Read More)3 weeks and is one of the more outgoing of the bunch but still displays that she is fearful of the world at times. Rosie has chronic dry eye and will need drops for the rest of her life more than likely. Rosie acts like a puppy but has her adult body. She wants to put everything in her mouth so a home that has time to keep an eye on her when she is out of her crate is needed. We are looking for a home with English Bulldog experience and other dogs for her to play with, a patient home with older children only and a home that is aware of English Bulldog aliments and are financially able to care for them is what we are looking for. Between specialized food and medical needs their monthly care could be at least $150 a month or likely more. They all will be adopted into homes with other dogs as this will be of most comfort to them. Fill out an application and we will be contacting people that have filled them out after the holidays. ATTR has $1750+ in vet bills so far and any help would be appreciated. You can donate on their UCaring links at https://www.youcaring.com/motomotoagnessgeorgia-708373 Before and after you take home your new rescue you will have the support and access to all resources which ATTR can provide. If you want to learn how you can set your new rescue up to succeed and blend in with your family come we will give you tips on what to do when you first bring home a new rescue.     Moto is a young adult male English Bulldog. He was taken from a breeding mill/house situation. Health: Arthritis, Hip Dysplasia

Mercedes is a young female adult English Bulldog that was taken from a breeding mill/house situation. She came to ATTR terribly overweight at 65.5 LB. ... (Read More)Because of this she has a lot of issues with her legs, hips and elbows that can barely support her. She has a probable partial ACL tear in her left rear knee, luxating patellas in both rear legs, possible hip & elbow dysplasia. We have her on anti-inflammatory & pain medication and she is now able to walk. She could not when we first got her. We are going to work on getting weight off of her over the next few months and then redo xrays to see what is needed to make her walk pain free. We have her on a combination raw and dehydrated food to get the weight off as quickly as possible and will accept donations of these types of foods for her. She has not been spayed yet. She is in a home with other dogs but non of the English Bulldogs that she has been with. She has not been spayed yet as we fear she will not survive the surgery and recovery at this point. We are looking to get her into some water therapy soon also. We are looking for a home with English Bulldog experience and other dogs for Mercedes. A quiet, patient home that is aware of English Bulldog ailments and are financially able to care for them is what we are looking for. Between specialized food and medical needs their monthly care could be at least $150 a month or likely more. Mercedes actually does well with people in general. Rescue Me ID: 16-12-06-00168Moto,Anges,Georgia (male)

Bulldog    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

https://www.youcaring.com/motomotoagnessgeorgia-708373 Meet Moto Moto, Agnes and Georgia! Three English Bulldogs that have lived their short lives only to breed. A friend of a volunteer brought them to our attention and asked for help getting them off a property from someone wanting to sell them which most certainly would have kept them as breeder dogs. They did not have names, lived in cages outside and were brought into a garage at night. They are very sweet but scared of the world around them. When we picked them up they would not walk on the ground. We had to carry them from van to van. They are leery of new people and anything that is ... (Read More)normal to us. They have never been in a home, everything is new. They were taken to the vet for the first time by their saving angle and began treatment for chronic ear infections, sores all over their feet and skin issues overall. They had improved immediately with the medicated baths, clean environment, ear and eye medications. Moto Moto still had 2 cherry eyes that we needed to do surgery on and they needed all vaccines that they have never been given. Miraculously they are HW (-). It will cost ATTR $1000 just for the things mentioned for these 3 bulldogs. We do have them in an experienced English Bulldog home that will be working with them on confidence, potty and crate training and being in a home in general. We will let everyone know when they are ready for adoption. We will only be accepting applications and performing home visits for all adoptions. They are not in the adoption centers. You can help us with their medical bills by clicking on the link or go directly to our website to donate. Thank you in advance, we cannot continue to get dog's and and cats out of shelters and bad situations without your support. Moto Moto has 2 cherry eyes that he has probably had most of his short life. He looks to be about 2 years old. Georgia is also about 2 and has dry eye in one eye so bad it looks like she has a cataract. It has remarkably improved with medication already. She has the most overall skin issues and the worst sores on her feet still. Agnes is the most shut down of the 3. She laid in the same spot and position for the 5 hour car ride to ATTR. She has skin hot spots on her underneath and belly side. None are potty-trained or have ever been in a home. They are all friendly but very afraid of anything new. They army crawl or pancake on the ground at first. The foster will not be introducing to the resident dogs until after we spay and neuter them. They are not ready for adoption yet. No phone calls please. Alsip To The Rescue (ATTR) strives as a rescue to make sure that when our adopters take home their new rescue they feel they have the support and access to all resources which ATTR can provide. PIease Read Before Adopting a Bulldog in Indiana
Bulldogs can make good pets in Indiana if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
