Our 1 yr old American bulldog/Pitbull mix needs a home! Our family has relocated and unfortunately we cannot take her with us. She's very friendly and playful. She has a lot of energy. Since she's a bigger dog, she'll fit best with a loving family that has a backyard. We adopted her from an animal shelter when she was a puppy. She has all of her shots and is spayed. Ok, so we picked up this abused neglated and abandoned sweet girl last night. And she is sweet but at the same time, has some aggression that is shown. Nothing major yet, she has done some growling if you come too close while chewing on her bone, a couple of snapping incidents. Bottom line I do not have the right place to keep a dog like hers and too many small kids around to keep her considering the possibilities. Bulldogs can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
