If you are interested in me, please visit my website, www.breederadoptions.org, go to the Available Dogs page, read my Policies and Procedures, complete Adoption Form for me, and my rescuers will contact you promptly. Hi! My name is Gage and I am a wonderful English Bull Dog who loves everyone. I am 9 years old and a big boy at 70 pounds so I do need a home with someone who understands this very special breed. I would do best in a home with no children under 12 because I would probably knock down small children trying to love them. I would do better with a female sibling since I have been a breeding dog all my life and may try to be Alpha ... (Read More)with another male. If you have the perfect to give me all the love and attention I crave, I promise to love you back unconditionally. Please ask for me on your application and I promise lots of love. Rescue Me ID: 14-03-05-00354Hank 'The Tank' (male)

Bulldog    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

Hank is a very good boy, very sweet, very smart, very mellow, always around kids from birth, never aggressive with kids, strangers, or any animals big or small. Hank gets along perfectly with all dogs big or small, including cats without one single incident - friend to all that he comes in contact with. Hank needs ACL surgery on both back legs and I don't have the money to pay for his surgeries or the recovery. Basically, he can't go up and down stairs or walks without this surgery. His quality of life is too low for me to see him like this because he is such a good boy and deserves better than I can offer him anymore. He just turned 8 on ... Rescue Me ID: 14-01-10-00284Big Ben (male)

Bulldog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Deaf, Abused/Neglected

I am an artist seeking an experienced dog lover to provide a loving home to my Bulldog mix, Big Ben. Big Ben is five years old and weighs 60 pounds. I rescued him from the Oklahoma animal shelter about 4 months ago in which he left an abusive environment. He has a scar down his back from an incident in which his previous owner poured gasoline down his back in order to prevent fleas. Due to an untreated ear infection by the previous owner Big Ben is 3/4 deaf although can still hear sounds, whistles, and understands hand signals. In turn, Big Ben is so appreciative to be in a loving home and craves attention. Big Ben is a very sweet and mellow ... (Read More)dog that very very rarely barks; he loves to cuddle more than anything and is very smart. He knows basic commands (sit, stay, down, shake, come), is housebroken, sleeps very well at night. Big Ben loves going for walks and is an avid fan of cuddling; however Big Ben can be slightly aggressive towards other dogs and therefore needs to be the only dog in the house. However, due to an increase in traveling for work, lack of yard space in the city, and frequent strangers visiting the art gallery I am looking to provide him with the best lifestyle possible moving forward. It is extremely hard for me to give this big teddy bear up, but I feel he'd do much better with a loving owner who has the space to provide a yard for Big Ben, has a more consistent lifestyle and less strangers visiting. I want nothing more than to find Big Ben a loving, happy home. If you are interested in learning more about him, please contact me with your story, previous dog experience, current pets and any additional information you feel is important for me to know. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Bulldog in Colorado
Bulldogs can make good pets in Colorado if they match your IifestyIe. The English Bulldog is a stocky breed with an intimidating appearance, but is one of the gentlest types of dogs. However, the Bulldog does have excellent guarding instincts. Bulldogs love human attention. Some bulldogs have a dominant streak and need a master who is firm and exudes leadership. Bulldogs do well with children and make great family pets. Bulldogs can live in an apartment but need a daily walk. Energy levels of Bulldogs vary widely but the breed is relatively inactive indoors. Bulldogs are prone to health problems and tend to slobber profusely.
